HAVING planted David Beckham at LA Galaxy, super-agent Simon Fuller is now trying to persuade football legend Zinedine Zidane out of retirement to join his former Real Madrid team-mate in the US soccer team. Fuller, who brokered Beckham’s $10m-a-year deal, has made a similar offer to the controversial French star, who was sent off in the World Cup final for head-butting Italy’s Marco Materazzi.

While Galaxy insiders say Zidane is playing hard to get, if anyone can coax him into signing the deal it is Fuller: after orchestrating the Spice Girls and creating Pop Idol, the multi-millionaire agent-manager is used to having his own way.

David Beckham

While his attention seeking wife certainly loves the importance she’s been receiving in America, David Beckham who is now probably out for the rest of the season, says he’s feeling a bit down.

“…on my side it’s frustrating at the moment. Obviously, I’ll be working at trying to get myself fit and trying to get myself better, and hopefully be able to maybe play before the end of the season. But the doctors are not that sure about it. It’s disappointing and frustrating at the moment."

LA Galaxy fans aren’t making it much easier for him, holding up signs that read "missing", "too scared" and "I lost".

David Beckham’s Rough Start In America

September 01, 07 by sandy

David Beckham Football

It’s been less than a month since squeaky soccer hottie, David Beckham has made his US debut and he’s already had two injuries. The midfielder, who previously nursed an injured ankle that cost him playing time, makes us wonder if he let out a girlish squeal when he sprained a ligament in his knee.

The 32-year-old British soccer import who seems to have had a rough start in the US was seriously injured in a tackle with Pachuca midfielder Fernando Salazar in the first half of Wednesday night’s SuperLiga title match. Becks signaled for help and then limped to the sideline as a substiture stepped onto the field to fill in.

This comes just days after his heated confrontation with Jesse Marsch. What’s worse is Becks’ injury has sent the golden boy to the bench for the next 6 weeks. Rumors has it that other players are bitten by the green-eyed monster and are intentionally trying to hurt him because he is such a high profile player. Adding insult to injury, The Los Angeles Galaxy team are reportedly beginning to doubt that they’ve gotten their money’s worth from Becks. When it rains it pours!

Beckham Loses It On Jesse Marsch

August 26, 07 by sandy

Sure, he may have a squeaky voice, but David Beckham is all man when it comes to standing up for himself. Jesse Marsch ran upto David and gave the Los Angeles Galaxy captain a high kick from behind during an injury time at the end of the first half. Beckham did not like it one bit and made no bones about hiding his feelings during Thursday’s game. Becks recovered and ran up to Marsh, screaming in his face. And speaking of bones, Marsch has his teammates to thank for his bones not being crushed. Edson Buddle in particular found himself in the middle of all the drama and stepped in to stop David from doing some serious damage to Marsch!

Below are a few pictures from the incident:
